Our franchise concepts
Why franchise in healthcare
At De Drie Notenboomen, we consciously choose the principle of franchising to market our care concepts. Franchising offers the opportunity to replicate a specific concept, with the added benefit of having it driven by independent entrepreneurs. This creates greater dedication and commitment from the 'ambassadors' of your concept, which translates into a personal approach and the delivery of tailored care.
When entrepreneurs wish to start a business within one of our care concepts, we enter into a 5-year franchise agreement. By signing this agreement, a franchisee agrees to the vision and philosophy behind the care concept, the conditions that ensure, for example, that a Thomashuis can be called a Thomashuis, and the agreements defining the relationship between franchisee and franchisor.
As a franchise organisation, De Drie Notenboomen develops a network of small-scale residential facilities for various target groups with care needs. In our four concepts – Thomashuis, Herbergier, Zorgbutler, and Thomas Op Kamers – care and living for specific target groups go hand in hand.
Our healthcare franchise concepts
We support more than 180 locations across the Netherlands and continue to expand and improve these locations while developing new healthcare concepts.

- There are almost 60 Herbergier locations across the Netherlands, and we are expanding into Germany
- De Zorgbutler has three locations in Rotterdam
- Thomas Op Kamers has one location in Rotterdam
