To each their trade. Forward together.
Together for healthcare
To allow us to continuously focus on our core tasks, we engage external expertise across various specialist domains. These partners ensure that we can focus on what we do best – developing franchise concepts within healthcare – while their professional expertise takes our operations to the next level.
We have a close collaborations with third parties for various aspects of our organisation
Accounting & payroll administration
We believe it is essential for franchisees to provide maximum transparency in their business operations with minimal effort. That is why a standard package has been put together for accounting and payroll administration. For Thomashuis, we partner with Borrie Accountants. For Herbergier, we use the services of Beuk Accountants & Belastingadviseurs.
Banking
The ambition to become an entrepreneur is always accompanied by the need for investment. To offer tailored support to franchisees in their entrepreneurship, we recommend the services of ABN AMRO and Rabobank. They have developed a dedicated package for our franchisees, offering financial resources and insurance products, enabling prospective care entrepreneurs to step into entrepreneurship with confidence and clarity.
Quality
Solid training is essential to know what you are doing. Furthermore, as a private care initiative, we have a duty to all our residents, their relatives, franchisees, and ourselves to provide full transparency regarding our operational management, care, and the well-being of our residents.
Advocacy
The interests of our residents are central to everything we do. We therefore take an active role in representing their interests, working alongside various advocacy organisations.
The Social Approach
Since 2026, DDN has been collaborating through the Herbergier locations with the Social Approach (Sociale Benadering), a vision for dementia care developed by Anne-Mei The, Professor of Long-Term Care and Social Approach to Dementia. This vision aligns perfectly with what has been at the heart of De Herbergier for years: continuing to see people with dementia first and foremost as human beings, with their own history, identity, and relationships.
Property partners
For the design of Thomashuis and Herbergier care homes, we have relied for years on the expertise of two renowned architectural firms: Arco Architecten from Oudewater and B+O Architecten from Meppel.
Connecting generations through Oma's Soep and Herbergier
De Herbergier collaborates with Oma's Soep, a foundation that combats loneliness among the elderly by connecting young and old. Social interaction, warmth, and lasting contact are central to this initiative.
Volunteers from Oma's Soep visit various Herbergier locations, including The Hague, Delft, and Tilburg. These encounters lead to valuable conversations, new connections, and plenty of joy.
At De Herbergier, we believe in the power of connection. Together with Oma's Soep, we create moments that bring generations closer together. Time and again, a pot of soup proves to be the perfect ingredient for new encounters, inspiring stories, and cherished moments between young and old.
